The Formulations project this year is led by Scott Phan. The team plans on accepting a small group of students in Winter quarter to work with Professor Todd Squires and members from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists to create small batches of lotion and possibly other viscous consumer products such as shampoo. Construction of a DIY temperature controller and a larger batch reactor system are potential projects that will focus on developing technical competence for students.
